A place of learning and development
NEJA brings together people who care about improving themselves, one another and life in the club.
We practise judo for health, strength, skill and enjoyment. Training is structured around safe learning, mutual respect and steady progress, with pathways for recreation, lifelong practice and competition.
Understanding our academy
NEJA is a community of people who practise judo as a martial art, a sport and a way to keep learning. We work to become healthier, stronger and more capable in body, mind and spirit — then use what we learn to help the people around us.
Adapt
Judo develops the ability to adjust with control — on the mat, in training and in everyday life.
Mutual benefit
Friendship, teamwork and community matter. A good training partner helps everyone learn safely and progress together.
Efficient action
Technique teaches us to use the right effort at the right time, with purpose, awareness and respect.
Build coordination, confidence, resilience and practical movement through structured learning.
Competition is a chance to measure progress while helping partners and opponents grow.
Apply judo’s skills, attitudes and knowledge to strengthen families, clubs and the wider community.

Our training develops the whole person: how we think, how we practise and how we move.
